Hailing from Oakland CA, Westerly is a band that embraces unity in diversity. Performing music with a message for uncertain times, crafted by the band's lyricist/principal songwriter Sterling Spence. Writing from personal experiences, Spence's songs focus on community, the state of the world, and the importance of love. Musically speaking, the band blends a wide range of styles from Pop Punk to soulful Americana, thus creating a sound they lovingly refer to as "Soul Punk". Live, the band is a force to be reckoned with. Think of a Westerly show as more of an "event" than a concert.
